About Texas TEAM 

Texas TEAM Volleyball Club is a premiere, highly competitive volleyball club located in The Woodlands, TX (just north of Houston).  Our mission is to provide each of our athletes with the technical, physical, and mental coaching and conditioning to reach her best potential as an individual player and as a team member.  As our name suggests, we highly value the concept of team work and a team approach.


Developmental League: Nine to thirteen year old girls interested in playing volleyball should check out the new Texas TEAM Titans program, offering young athletes age appropriate training and competition.  The Titans program helps prepare younger players for junior high school volleyball tryouts, and offers a seamless transition into club volleyball.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

New!  Position Training:  Texas TEAM is pleased to offer specialized position training for its players, beginning Jan. 27.  Because position training is such an integral part of athletic development, all players are expected to attend.  The position training schedule is as follows:

  • Libero/DS: Mondays
    5:30-6:15  13's and 14's
    6:45-7:30  15's and up
  • Setter: Wednesdays
    5:30-6:15  13's and 14's
    6:45-7:30  15's and up
  • Hitter: TBA 

Upcoming Tournaments:

Sat. Feb. 13: 16s - Texas TEAM #3 - Legends Sports Facility, 602 Pruitt Road, Spring, TX.  For a list of teams competing, click here.  Pools and start times will be posted on Wednesday or Thursday before the tournament

Sat. Feb. 13: 15s - Willowbrook Sports Classic #4 - Willowbrook Sports Complex, 12539 Perry Road, Houston TX.  Pools and start times will be posted on the Willowbrook Sports Complex website.

Recent Tournament Results:

Feb. 6: Houston Power League (13s, 14s & 15s) - Concluding the second weekend of Power League play, 15 Gold remains undefeated!  Other teams representing Texas TEAM also did very well, with 14 Gold finishing in the bronze bracket, and 13 Gold, 14 Navy and 15 Navy advancing brackets.  Power League play continues on March 6 & 7.  Results are posted on AES.

Jan. 31: Texas Team #2 - 12s: Results are posted here

Jan. 30: Houston Shoot-Out, 2nd weekend - 16s, 17s & 18s: Of 64 teams competing in the 17s/18s age group, 18 Gold advanced to 18th, and 17 Gold defended its first weekend finish, placing 32nd.  Of 58 teams competing in the 16s age group, 16 Gold advanced to 4th place, and 16 Navy advanced to 43rd.  Shoot-Out play continues on Feb. 27.  Results are posted on AES

Congratulations!!:  Texas TEAM member Molly McCage (16 Gold) was selected to the USA Girl's Youth National Team. The team will travel will travel to Guatemala in April to compete in the NORCECA Girls' Youth Continental Championship. Of the 12 girls selected, 5 are from Texas, with 3 of those playing here in the Lone Star Region. To learn more about the Youth National Team and see a photo gallery, click here.

Recruiting: High school players (freshmen and up): Be sure to check out the new Recruiting section.  It contains helpful information relevant to the college recruiting process (eligibility, terms, rules, timelines, links, etc.). 

Player Profiles: High school players may now submit for publication on this website a personalized Player Profile.  A profile will contain information about the player that is highly relevant and important to college recruiters, and will be available to recruiters who visit this website.   A player may include in her Profile links to Facebook or other personal webpages, or to videos she has posted on the web.  A player who desires to submit a Profile for publication should click here.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Texas TEAM players are highly encouraged to try out for USAV's High Performance Program. The HP program is an excellent way for athletes to measure their skills against some of the best players in the country. HP programs are offered throughout the summer at various locations across the US.  For more information, including tryout dates and locations, click here.
